hmmm.. did i promise myself to keep at least one blog a month.. huh.. ! what can i do im a super busy woman.. with 12 assignments to complete by end of this month.. 2 were handed in. 10 more to surrender..
i went to london last weekend yes! at last i have arrived in the capital city of Britain hhehe... to shop! very very old city with thousands of people. yoshiko and alice joined me to check out a designer warehouse sale. it was chucked in corner of Balfaste street near King's Cross station. our first impression were.. hmm dodgy.. we have to go into this quiet lane and into a narrow entrance.we even have to pay 2 pound to browse "the sale of the century" collection. there were about a hundred local and foreign designers to choose from such Nicole Farhi, Ghost, Freesoul, Valentino, Missoni etc.. i didnt get anything.. cos its either too expensive (i really like this Valentino leather wth studs sling bag... 65 pound..im a student... next time!) or not my size.. haiz.. after several frantic rounds going through 4 huge rooms of clothes, we were off too camden town :)
Camden town.. punk, grunge, rasta.. you name it you ll have it.. its a cultural center of London. Yoshiko has hailed it as Harajuku of London. For me is like Bugis Street with a touch of Central Market of KL. If you fancy original dr martens boots, western (madonna-style) boots, leather skirts, african accessories or expensive asian stuff, you can get them in hundreds of shops here. i got myself a nice espirit leather belt from a second hand shop :) as for food you will be spolit for choice and you can get the biggest donut i ever seen.. i had mine with maple syrup and chocolate yummy!
Yoshiko headed to Japan Center near Picadilly Station. i was wondering where is malaysian or singapore center.. maybe i should check them out the next time im in london... yes im coming back here :) maybe next september or december...
we eventually dragged ourselves back to our beloved village in kent.. hhehe we really like the bustling london :P (city girls..we cant forget our 'roots')
